Founded in January 2020 as a Podcast, Politics Unboxed aims to bring a balanced coverage of major UK and US Political News to a wide audience, in an easily digestible way. With short, roughly 15-minute, Podcasts, now accompanied by blog posts, Politics Unboxed hopes to stay true to facts, holding those to power in account, and checking the ambitions of those who seek to replace them.
Originally a one-man team, Politics Unboxed has now grown to take on a team of dedicated, young volunteers who all contribute in some way to the platform. Some write our articles, others are the voices you hear on our podcasts, but all of them have a keen interest in politics, and really do know what they’re talking about.
The aim to give fresh perspectives and a more ground-level understanding to the major political news stories hasn’t changed, and never will. As well as that, it’s free! No paywalls, no annoying pop up ads asking you to contribute halfway through an article or podcast episode that stop you from going on any further. Don’t be too surprised if you eventually see those type of ads as a midroll or a pop up format, but clicking on an ad will never be a requirement of reading or listening to the Politics Unboxed content you (hopefully) enjoy!
